The Story

Summer-long blooms that attract pollinators

With its dense, mounded form and vibrant coral flowers, this Agastache variety is a delightful addition to any garden. It thrives from late spring throughout the summer, creating a dazzling display that not only brightens up your landscape but also attracts essential pollinators like bees and butterflies. Whether you're looking to enhance a flower bed, border, or container garden, this plant offers a cheerful burst of color and activity.

Known as Giant Hyssop, agastache is drought, deer, and rabbit tolerant and performs best in arid regions with well drained, slightly alkaline soil. Its heat tolerance makes it an excellent choice for hot summer climates and xeriscaping. Imagine your yard filled with color, buzzing with life, as pollinators flock to the blooms.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a sunny spot with well-draining soil for best results. Dig a hole that is twice as wide as the root ball and gently place the plant in the hole, backfilling with soil.

2. Watering: Water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist during the first growing season. Allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings, as this plant prefers not to sit in soggy soil. Agastche is drought tolerant, but may stop blooming during period of heat and water stress.  Provide supplemental water for best performance in times of drought.

3. Pruning: To promote bushier growth and more blooms, pinch back the tips of the stems in early spring before new growth appears. Deadheading spent flowers throughout the season will encourage continued blooming.

4. Fertilizing: Use a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring to support healthy growth.
