Brilliant blooms that warm your garden from summer to fall
Salud™ Embers Sneezeweed Perennial Plant offers a vibrant display of fiery colors that can light up any garden during the warm months. With its striking red, orange, and yellow blossoms, this plant is perfect for creating a stunning backdrop in your yard or garden beds. As a member of the Helenium family, it stands out for its ability to bloom from late summer into fall, providing ongoing interest when many other plants start to fade. With a compact form, its stems won't flop over like other types of sneezeweed.
Not only is Salud™ Embers Sneezeweed visually appealing, but it also attracts pollinators like bees and butterflies, while usually being avoided by deer and rabbits. Thriving in wet soil, Sneezeweed makes a lovely addition along a pond, in a rain garden, or other naturally moist areas.
Toxicity Warning: All parts of the plant are poisonous to humans, dogs, cats, and livestock (particularly sheep, cattle, and horses).
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a location that receives full sun and has moist to wet soil. Space plants about 18-24 inches apart to allow for their mature size and ensure air circulation.
2. Watering: Water your Helenium regularly, especially during dry spells. Keep the soil consistently moist.
3. Pruning: To encourage bushier growth and more prolific blooms, prune back stems by one-third in early spring. Deadheading spent flowers throughout the blooming season will promote additional flowering.
4. Fertilizing: In early spring, apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer to support robust growth. Too much fertilizer can cause leggy plants.
