Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a location that receives full sun and has well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and place the plant at the same depth it was growing in the container.

2. Watering: Water regularly during the first growing season to establish roots. Once established, this plant is drought-tolerant but benefits from watering during prolonged dry periods.

3. Pruning: In early spring, cut plants back to the ground to control size and prepare for new growth. After bloom, cut plants back to basal foliage for reblooming. If plants become aggressive, they can be divided in spring or fall, or they can be mowed to the ground, which will slow their growth.

4. Fertilizing: Work fresh compost into the soil in spring and fall. Yarrow does not usually need fertilizing.
